DJ Cashmere is a John K. Martin Fellow at NYU's Carter Journalism Institute. He is a writer and audio producer whose interests include cultural studies, antiracism, education, and baseball. DJ was a classroom teacher in Chicago for eight years and has a Master's in Teaching. He also has a degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Southern California and studied at the Second City and the British American Drama Academy.
